Today we are going to report back about what was awesome during the afternoon. Our blog yesterday mentioned the fun stuff that we saw during the first half of Caribbean Day. SURPRISE ROYALTY DAY IS A BIG HIT AT CAMP !Ĭamp was shocked this morning to find that Camp Harmony had been transformed into the "Kingdom of Harmony!" When we arrived on the vans, our drivers and assistants were dressed up as regal Kings, Queens, Jesters, Princes, and Princesses! At Flag Raising, Steve Ranger and AJ Buckskin acted as trumpeters for King Jerry! The lunch room was even decorated with crowns and tiaras! These foods included, H2O, V8, Jell-o, Lo-miene, A Big Mac and large fries (off the 1 dollar Menu) Chicken with Broccoli (From the A column of a menu) and ABC, 123 pasta.Īlthough both teams did an excellent job, the numbers team dominated, even after Ian "Tents" had to forfeit due to not being able to handle so much food. The Captains had to eat foods relating to the color war themes. However, the best part of the whole afternoon was the Captain Eating Contest! They included a scooter race, a wet T-shirt transfer contest, a ping pong ball blowing contest, a marshmallow on a string contest, and even one where they had to transfer cotton balls on their vaselene covered noses!! The Staff were challenged to many fun events Wednesday afternoon. And for numbers: Brianne, Meghan, Kristen and Ian! Then, a Jamaican guy, on Caribbean day stole the list too! On Tuesday, Jerry was taken away in a limo by 2 policeman! Finally, on thursday afternoon, he revealed the final 8 color war captains for 2009. Letters 2009" The whole camp was so shocked to see the airplane flying over their heads!įor the whole week, Jerry has been trying to eliminate counselors to get to the final 8 captains the whole week but kept gettibng interrupted by crazy events! First, a burger King stole the list out of his hands on Royalty Day. It's a bird, it's a plane, it's.COLOR WAR 2009! This year, Color War broke out with a plane flying high over the camp, dragging a banner that read "Camp Harmony COlor War: Numb3rs vs. Q: What do you like better, 2 or 3 color war teams? Q: Were you ever a Van driver or assistant? Events included:Īll groups participated and had a lot of fun running around in the sun! ![]() The First Day also included various of track and feild activities that the numbers team ended up winning. Although the Letters team came out on top, both teams did a great job! The race took place all over camp and had various activities including the following: The Great Race occurred on the last day of Color War. Steve Ranger made a great host and other camp favorites made appearances such as Brent the Monkey and Todd as the "Ground-todd." At the end of the third Day, both teams came together and sang an emotional camp song about how much we all love camp and how much we will all miss it during the school year. Other counselors made it even funnier by dressing up as other counselors, like Jimmy Ranegr dressing up as Brent Pool! The Numebrs skit was a spoof of The Price is right. ![]() It was based on the game show, Wheel of Fortune, and starred different camp characters from past Over the Edge skits, such as Bertha and Leslie, from Daycamp Musical, Grandma Slow, from Charlie and the skill-pin factory, the White Witch from chronicles of Narmony and even DOnkey snd Schlep from Schlep! The contestants had to guess the words that were camp related, such as Ugga-Bugga. Teh funniest one was the numbers cheer that spoofed a cheer from the cheer leading movie "Bring It On." Ian Tennis did a fabulous cheerleader impression by say "I'm still Ian Tenst!" and snapping his fingers with attitude. The numbers and letters team performed various skits, songs and cheers to earn points.
